This file is a transcription of part of a Canadian or Ontario commercial directory, from a photocopy in the Algonquin College Library, Perth, Ont. Since only the Town of Perth section of the directory was copied (from the last page of Pakenham to the first page of Smiths Falls), neither the publisher nor publishing date is known. However an index tab on the copy reads "1881-2".
Many of the entries are advertisments, and the first four or five lines of these have been transcribed. Many have been edited for brevity.
The list is in strict alphabetical order of surname, regardless of town of residence. Street and town appear at the end of each entry, and in most entries are flush right.
